The extension of the current lockdown and the uncertainty of what will follow has meant that most of the scheduled final rehearsals for Ladies in Retirement have had to be cancelled. In addition, the building of the rather complex set, which was planned for this weekend, has also had to be cancelled. There is also the likelihood that, even after the lockdown is lifted, there will be ongoing restrictions for indoor settings like theatres, making it unfeasible to proceed with the show.
It is, therefore, with deep regret that we inform you of our decision to cancel the upcoming season of Ladies in Retirement. This was a difficult decision to make but, given the circumstances, we felt we had little choice in the matter. The health and safety of our audiences, cast and crew is of paramount importance to us and we thank you again for your ongoing support and understanding.
So, what happens now?
All bookings for Ladies in Retirement will be refunded in full.
- If you booked online through Trybooking, those payments will be refunded automatically.
- If you booked by phone, please call our ticket secretary, Mavis on
9587 5141 to arrange your refund.
- If you used carry-over credit from 2020, you will be refunded for this one show, whether you made a booking for it or not. You may still use your remaining carry-over credits for our September and November productions. Please call Mavis on 9587 5141 to make the necessary arrangements.
These refunds may take some time to process, so we ask for your patience and understanding.
Once again, we thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to seeing you all again come September at the Shirley Burke Theatre.
