More details for each season will follow soon. Needless to say, this depends on restrictions regarding gatherings being lifted or eased sufficiently to allow performances to proceed, but indications are that Victoria is on track for this to happen. Of course, we will closely monitor developments and keep you all well informed. The health and safety of our patrons, cast and crew is of paramount importance to us.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to you, our subscribers and patrons, for your ongoing support of our company during this health crisis. Nearly 1,000 seats have been rolled over to the 2021 season and 365 seats have been donated back to the company. This level of support is both humbling and encouraging. We also thank our tireless ticket secretary, Mavis Dubbin, who managed this process with panache.
Mordialloc Theatre Company also extends congratulations to Professor George Werther, our director of 4,000 MILES, our first play in the 2021 Season. In the Queen’s Birthday Honours, George has been made an Officer (AO) in the General Division for distinguished service to medicine, to paediatric endocrinology and research, and to professional medical organisations. George also has a distinguished record of involvement both as an actor and director in community theatre. We look forward to working with him again in our first production next year.
